Patna. These days, news of arrest of more than one criminal is coming out in Bihar. But, the latest case is related to the arrest of a lady don. Actually, on the basis of secret information, Chowk police station of Patna City has raided Dhawalpura area and arrested notorious criminal and Suman Devi, known as Lady Don. The arrested Suman Devi is said to be the wife of jailed illegal liquor mafia Jaikant, who is counted among the top 10 criminals of Patna, against whom 12 criminal cases are registered.
Lady don used to lead the gang
It is said that after her husband Jaikant was jailed, Lady Don Suman Devi used to lead the gang with a pistol in her waist. According to the police, there are many criminals involved in the gang of Jaikant and Suman Devi, who commit many criminal incidents including murder, robbery, extortion, drug prohibition. Addressing a press conference organized at the DSP office at Mangal Talab in Patna City, City DSP 2 Dr. Gaurav Kumar said that after illegal liquor mafia Jaikant, who was among the top 10 criminals of Patna, was sent to jail a few months ago, his wife Suman Devi was leading the gang.
12 criminal cases registered, consignment was delivered by boat
DSP said that a total of 35 criminal cases including murder, robbery, Arms Act, extortion, liquor prohibition are registered against notorious criminal Jaikant, while a total of 12 criminal cases including murder, liquor prohibition are registered against the arrested Suman Devi. According to the DSP, the gang members used to load the consignment of illicit liquor from Diara area of Vaishali district on boats and unload it at various ghats of Patna city, from where the illicit liquor was supplied through two wheelers. The DSP has assured that other criminals associated with the network will also be arrested soon on the behest of the arrested Suman Devi.
Another arrest near toll plaza
Let us tell you, in another incident, the police of Malsalami police station raided near Didarganj toll plaza and arrested a criminal named Chhotu alias Ravi Roshan who was waving weapons. Apart from a country-made pistol, a live cartridge, the police have also recovered an Android phone from the arrested criminal. DSP Gaurav Kumar said that the arrested criminal was intimidating the local people by waving weapons to establish his dominance in the area.
