Pink bus will run in Munger also, women will handle all the responsibilities of driver and conductor, know the fare

Munger: On the lines of Patna, now pink bus service was started in Munger also. Special buses are being run here keeping in mind the safety and facilities of women. In which women will handle all the responsibilities from driver, conductor to passengers. Not only this, special facilities will be provided for women inside this bus. There is a lot of enthusiasm among women after the launch of Pink Bus Service.

This bus will currently run on the Jamalpur to Bariyarpur route. The fare has also been kept very affordable. The fare from Jamalpur to Munger will be Rs 18, while from Jamalpur to Bariyarpur you will have to pay Rs 27. This service is also special for women because this bus will be operated entirely by women staff. The bus will be driven by a woman driver and the responsibility of ticketing will be handled by a woman conductor.

This is a special facility
The biggest feature of the Pink Bus is the Sanitary Pad ATM, which will meet the important needs of women during their journey. By inserting just a coin of Rs 5, sanitary pads will be immediately available from the machine. This facility will prove to be a great relief for girls and women traveling during periods. Apart from this, 22 reserved seats have been kept in the bus only for women. To ensure the safety of passengers, a fire extinguisher has also been installed in the bus. Keeping all the arrangements in mind, this service is going to become a safe, comfortable and reliable travel option for women.

What will be the bus time table?
The pink bus will run on the scheduled route every day from 8 am to 5 pm. According to Amit Kumar of Munger Bus Depot, “This initiative will not only make the travel of women easier, but will also give them an opportunity to travel in a self-reliant and safe environment.” With the launch of Pink Bus service, the women of Munger are now going to get better, safe and accessible public transport facilities, which is another important step towards women empowerment of Bihar Government.
