The trial of Amisha Patel’s check bounce and fraud case is going on in the court. The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday granted interim relief to Amisha in this case. The High Court prohibited taking any drastic action against him in the fraud case.
The petition was heard by Justice Anand Sen in the Jharkhand High Court through video conferencing, where the court asked the two parties to settle the case through mediation. The court has directed both the parties to file a written reply in the next two weeks. The filmmaker’s lawyer informed the court that an attempt should be made to resolve the matter through mediation.
The ongoing case was first heard in the lower court and now it will be challenged in the High Court. According to the petition, the producer met the actress in 2017 during an event at Harmu Housing Colony, in which the actress asked her to invest in her film Desi Magic. The producer transferred Rs 2.5 crore to the bank account of the actress. Although the actress neither made the film nor refunded her money. The complainant also accused the actress of cheating. The producer asked the actress to return her money, soon after this she was informed about the film’s failure. The producer told that, Patel gave him a check which later bounced.
