Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Maruti Suzuki India grabbed headlines in a big way at the Auto Expo 2023. The company unveiled the 5-door Jimny and Franks coupe SUVs on January 12, after which bookings for both started. The funny thing is that in just 5 days the bookings for the Jimny have crossed 5 thousand. Its waiting period has now reached above 3 months. That means customers will now have to wait for 3 months for delivery after launch. Maruti Jimny is being seen as a competitor to Mahindra Thar, which is the most popular off roader SUV in India.
The 5 door Jimny is one of the most iconic cars from the company and has been on sale since the 1970s. Currently its fourth generation has been launched in India. It will be sold in 2 models Zeta and Alpha. Both these models come with the K15B 1.5L petrol engine, which produces 103 bhp power and 134 Nm torque.

This is the specialty of SUV
The special thing is that the Jimny’s engine is equipped with mild-hybrid technology. The body of the SUV is very strong and it has Suzuki’s All Grip Pro 4WD technology. The car has a longer wheelbase as compared to the 3-door version. The new open Jimny measures 3,985 mm in length, 1,645 mm in width and 1,720 mm in height. It has been designed for better performance on off-road.

SUV is quite safe
In terms of safety features, the SUV includes 6 airbags, an electronic stability control, seatbelt pretensioners, hill hold assist, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, a rear defogger, reversing camera and power windows. The company expects to get more than 10,000 bookings for the Jimny by the end of this month.
The features of the SUV are amazing
The top-spec Zeta of this SUV gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen SmartPlay Pro infotainment system, a 4-speaker audio system and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Alpha model, on the other hand, gets automatic headlamps, 9.0-inch touchscreen Smartplay Pro+ infotainment system, Arkamis sound system, automatic climate control, keyless start-stop system, cruise control, LED headlamps with fog lamps and washers.
