Now at 2 o’clock on Tuesday night, the AQI around Dwarka sector of New Delhi was 319. Which falls in the Red Zone, here the AQI of Patna’s airport area was recorded even higher at 331. This is also in the red zone. These figures are from the Central Pollution Control Board.
The figures of private agencies monitoring AQI are even more shocking. According to AQI.EN, the AQI of Patna was 599 at around 2 o’clock in the night. Now from this we can guess what the situation is like here. According to this, Delhi’s AQI at this time was 250.

However, if we look at the data of the Central Pollution Control Board, the air near Birla Institute of Technology was the worst. After this, AQI of Danapur was 247 and AQI near Gandhi Maidan was 234. Both of these fall in the Orange Zone.
The area where Bihar’s CM, Governor, Ministers and many other honorable people live. The AQI of that area i.e. Echo Park was recorded at 164 and the AQI of Planetarium was recorded at 191. It falls in the yellow zone. AQI around Mangal Talab was also recorded at 123. This is much less compared to the rest.
Talking about other districts, AQI of Hajipur was 259, Bihar Sharif 267, Munger 238, Bhagalpur 233, Araria 205, Buxar 218, Arrah 295, Gaya 215, Muzaffarpur 255. Similarly, AQI of other districts is also in bad category.
Experts say that during the winter season, due to falling temperature and reduced wind speed, pollutant particles accumulate near the ground. Apart from this, smoke from vehicles, dust from construction works and many such activities are also the main reasons for increasing the pollution level. Due to this, people start complaining of burning sensation in the eyes, difficulty in breathing and sore throat.
