Education Minister Sisodia said, ‘Many schools are not giving TC to the children. They are saying that if you deposit the fees of the last one year, then you will give TC. Due to which a large number of parents of Delhi are unable to get their children out of private school and get admission in government school even if they want. I have received complaints from many such parents.
Sisodia said that the Delhi government is working on this and is also presenting its side in the court. Right now, for the convenience of these parents, the government has decided that if a child from Delhi wants to leave a private school and take admission in a government school, then he will not be denied admission because of TC.
If that child’s school is not giving TC, then the child can also take admission from the rest of the school’s documents. Students will come to the school with their other documents and will give admission from the government school. Sisodia said that the Department of Education will do the work of bringing TC from the old school. With this, now it will be the responsibility of the government that how to take TC from the school. There is no need for parents to worry about this.
About half a million applications have come so far
Manish Sisodia said that if you want to educate your children in government schools, then the government is standing with you. So far, 28000 applications have been received for Nursery KG and Class I of Delhi. At the same time, 91000 admissions have come for class 6th to 12th. In such a situation, it is expected that when the compulsion of TC ends, a large number of parents would like to bring their children to government schools.
