Last night, a drone had entered the border from Pakistan, which returned after dropping the weapon. BSF has recovered four China-made pistols, 8 magazines and a packet of 47 bullets on the spot. It is worth mentioning here that the process of dropping weapons and drugs through drones on the border has been going on since last December and many times BSF and Punjab Police personnel have failed to infiltrate the drones.

A BSF spokesperson said that on the intervening night of January 17 and 18, troops heard the sound of a suspected drone coming from Pakistan in the upper Takla frontier village area of ​​Gurdaspur district.

The BSF team fired in the direction of the suspected drone after which there was a sound of something falling on the ground. The spokesman said that the area was searched and ammunition was recovered from the spot. Now a joint search operation of Punjab Police and BSF personnel is going on in the area.

On January 15 also, the BSF had fired 7 rounds at the Pakistani drone after the movement of the drone was seen in Kalia village of Tarn Taran district, adjacent to the India-Pakistan border, after which the drone went back. Even before this, on January 3, a drone was seen in the same area.
