The United Nations has strongly reprimanded Pakistan. It said that Pakistan has hastily made changes in the Constitution, which are weakening the independence of the judiciary. With these amendments, the powers of the judiciary have been limited and Pakistan’s military chief Asim Munir has got more power. The United Nations showed a mirror to Pakistan and said that you teach others about human rights, but you are not paying attention to the violations happening in your country. These constitutional amendments are not for the public, but for the benefit of only one person, Asim Munir. The United Nations also said that these changes will increase political interference on the judiciary and will also strengthen executive control.
