Bhojpur. Even at the age of 67, Upendra Singh of Bhojpur continues to try for new experiments in the field of farming. His energy is no less than that of a youth. They do natural farming to protect the crops from the ill effects of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. He has made chemical-free fertilizer, which he calls ‘Ark Amrit’. Apart from this, ‘Amrit Jal’ is prepared and sprayed on the crop. It protects crops from insect diseases. He has also developed this himself with the help of agricultural scientists and YouTube.
New method of farming adopted with time
Upendra Singh is a resident of Ayer village of Jagdishpur block of Bhojpur district. He says that he has been doing farming since the time of plow and oxen. Later when mechanization took place, new agricultural methods were also adopted. Adapted to the times. He remains in touch with Bhojpur Agricultural Science Centre. Besides, they also take advice from agricultural scientists from various agricultural colleges of Bihar.
Extract water is used in gardening
He says that natural farming is the biggest need of today. When there was a decline in production in natural farming, he himself prepared extract water at home. They prepare two hundred liters at a time by mixing disposer, tea leaves and Kavach. Upendra Singh, who does fruit gardening in 24 acres, uses stone extract in his own gardening.
This is the method of use
Stone extract is used at an interval of 4 days. The day on which nectar water is sprinkled. Good yield has been obtained by using nectar-water in crops grown naturally. They use it on papaya, guava, flowers and mango trees in their horticulture. To control the stem borer insect, he used 200 ml of burnt mobil in water during irrigation, the result was good.
crops remain green
Upendra Singh said that he was given a lot of information in the field of agriculture by senior agricultural scientist PK Dirvedi. On the basis of the information given by him, I have done gardening of hundreds of plants in 25 acres. The method of making organic fertilizer has also been explained by him. Understanding this method, I am making liquid organic fertilizer from stones. This strengthens the roots and increases the yield of pulses and grains. Limestone reduces the acidity of the soil and keeps the crops green.
