Mumbai. The Bombay High Court has directed the activist Stan Swamy, accused in the Bhima Koregaon case, to be admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai for treatment. The court while ordering the jail authorities in Maharashtra said that Stan needed treatment, hence he should be admitted to the hospital for 2 weeks.

The bench had said at that time that a decision on the issue of medical bail would be taken later but Swamy could be admitted to JJ Hospital in Mumbai for treatment. . He refused to be admitted to the JJ Hospital, saying that he had been admitted there twice before, but he did not get any relief.
I would prefer to die in jail than go to hospital
The tribal rights activist then said that he would rather die in jail than go to JJ Hospital. However, the High Court allowed Swami to be admitted to the Holy Family Hospital. Earlier Desai said that Swami and his assistants will bear the expenses of the treatment. The High Court said, we believe that the petitioner can be given the option of getting treatment at Holy Family Hospital for 15 days. Swami will bear the cost.
