Rahul Gandhi makes such announcements as if he is sure to become PM next time. He spent three elections making such promises. He has turned 55 years old. If he had been in government or non-government institutions, he would have retired on his 60th birthday i.e. after 5 years. There is no fixed period of retirement in politics. Therefore he will not retire. Yes, a threat of retirement in politics is in trending mode in recent years. However, Rahul Gandhi himself also remains in danger. If the public is rejecting him thrice, it is because of the threats he has created himself. Negativity is deeply embedded in his nature. They see everyone as thieves. For PM Modi, he had once said ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’, now he is raising the slogan of ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ for him. They see Narendra Modi government as a thief. Let us take a look at the dangers standing in their way.
Rahul and Ganga Setu
Incidentally, an interesting information. Maybe not everyone knows this. Rahul Gandhi and the bridge built on the Ganga between Hajipur and Patna in Bihar were born together. Surendra Kishore, a well-known journalist of the country and Padma Shri awardee, tells that in 1970, on the day the foundation stone of Mahatma Gandhi Bridge was laid, Rahul Gandhi was also born on the same day. Indira Gandhi came to Patna on 19 June 1970 to lay the foundation stone. Indira Gandhi was on the stage. When the officers got the information about Rahul Gandhi’s birth, the leaders and officers were worried about how to communicate this to him on the stage. Finally, Ramji Mishra Manohar, journalist of Aryavarta, which was then being published from Patna, took a pinch of this information to Indira ji on the stage. This relation of Mahatma Gandhi Setu with the age of Rahul Gandhi is only for information. This has nothing to do with apprehension of danger. The dangers appear different.
Trends are beginning to emerge
There are also signs of danger in Rahul Gandhi’s path. This is indicated by the fact that a former Congress MLA has expressed his views about its national president Mallikarjun Kharge with such arguments that it cannot be rejected. Similar statements have also started coming from the leaders of India Bloc led by Rahul Gandhi. National Conference leader and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has started directly rejecting the issue of vote theft by Rahul Gandhi. They say that the talk of vote theft is meaningless. This issue of Rahul Gandhi is wrong.

Congress leader’s allegation
Mohammad Mokeem is a former Congress MLA in Odisha. The party has now shown him the way out. His crime is that he has made such comments on Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, which is a sign of a new danger for Rahul Gandhi also. Mokim has written a letter to Congress high command Sonia Gandhi. In it he has said that Kharge’s age (83 years) has increased. Due to this, the party is facing difficulty in connecting with the youth and providing effective leadership. There is a need to change the current leadership style. Young leaders should be brought forward. He also says that Rahul Gandhi is also not connected with the party workers and youth. It is surprising that instead of accepting the truth and reflecting on it, the Congress has expelled Mokeem from the party, calling him undisciplined and showing a mirror.
What will Gen-G leaders be like?
If we understand Mokeem’s point, even Rahul Gandhi is not able to connect with the youth. Their distance from the youth will increase day by day. The basis behind saying this is that the next Lok Sabha elections will be held in 2029. Then Rahul Gandhi will turn 59. To prove himself still young, Rahul advocates Gen-Z movement in India like Bangladesh and Nepal. It is believed that people born between 1997 and 2012 fall in the category of Generation Z. It is a matter of common sense that how a 59-60 year old man would lead teenagers and youth of 13 to 28 years of age! For leadership, it would be necessary to have the same mindset and age as him, conditions for which Rahul Gandhi would not be able to fulfill. Leader Mokim, who was expelled from the party, has also pointed towards the Congress leadership’s inability to connect with the youth. Rahul says that he still has more expectations from teenagers and youth.
Danger in front of Rahul
Seeing the way Congress has been losing in Lok Sabha and state elections since 2014, no miracle can be expected from it in the future. Congress’s efforts to form a strong and united alliance like NDA, which is as powerful as BJP, now seems to be failing. Considering the stance of Mamata Banerjee, Lalu Yadav-Tejashwi Yadav and Omar Abdullah, it cannot now be expected that any party will trust the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Mamta had talked about changing the leadership of India only after the Lok Sabha elections. Then NCP leader Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party leaders Akhilesh Yadav and Lalu Yadav had also agreed to Mamata’s advice.
Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, 95 election defeats have been recorded in 20 years.
internal strife of Congress
The internal strife of Congress is not hidden from anyone. Despite Shashi Tharoor’s actions being intolerable, Congress is not able to do any harm to him. Congress has also behaved in such a manner on at least two occasions, due to which questions have been raised on the unity of the India Bloc. In Haryana and Delhi, Congress messed with its own constituent Aam Aadmi Party. When Congress held a national level rally in Delhi regarding vote theft, India Bloc colleagues were not even asked. All these will become obstacles in Rahul’s path. What is more, the increasing age of Rahul Gandhi will become a big threat for him in the coming days, because while his opposition party BJP is focusing on the youth, Congress is becoming an army of old people. No matter how much Rahul tries to look young, it cannot be hidden from the fact that after 5 years he too will join the ranks of the same old people about whom Mokim has hinted in his letter to Sonia.
