Rajnath Singh News: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in the Geeta conference in Kurukshetra that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was inspired by the message of Lord Krishna and under this, India gave a strong reply to the terrorists. The Defense Minister said, ‘Lord Krishna had also explained to the Pandavas that the war should not be fought for revenge or ambition but for the establishment of religious rule.’
Chandigarh. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said India’s actions during ‘Operation Sindoor’ were inspired by the message that Lord Krishna gave to the Pandavas that war should not be fought for vengeance or ambition, but to establish the rule of Dharma. After inaugurating the 10th International Gita Conference in Kurukshetra, Haryana, the Defense Minister said, ‘Lord Krishna also taught Arjun that the person who follows the path of religion is never afraid.’ Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack in April, Singh said the heinous act still haunts the national conscience. He said that terrorists committed inhuman acts when innocent tourists were killed after asking them about their religion.
Addressing the gathering he said, ‘I believe that that incident was not only challenging the peace-loving nature of India; Terrorists and their patrons had assumed that India’s etiquette was its weakness, but they forgot that India is the country of Gita, where there is compassion and also the inspiration to protect ‘Dharma’ on the battlefield. Talking about India’s response to the Pahalgam terror attack, the Defense Minister said that through ‘Operation Sindoor’, the armed forces have given them a strong response which they have not been able to forget till date.
He said, ‘We showed the world that India does not want war, but if it is forced, it does not run away and gives a strong reply.’ Singh said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was not just a military operation, but a declaration of India’s self-commitment, self-respect and self-confidence. The Defense Minister said, ‘Lord Krishna had also explained to the Pandavas that the war should not be fought for revenge or ambition but for the establishment of religious rule.’
He said, “…during ‘Operation Sindoor’, we followed the message of Lord Krishna. And this campaign has given the message to the entire world that India will neither remain silent against terrorism nor will it weaken under any circumstances. Shri Krishna had explained to Arjuna in Kurukshetra that religion is not saved by mere sermons; it is saved by deeds, and ‘Operation Sindoor’ was the religion-based action that we adopted.” Haryana Minister Anil Vij and Swami Gyananand Maharaj were also among those who addressed the conference. This conference has been jointly organized by Kurukshetra University and Kurukshetra Development Board.
