Hamripur News: The mass marriage program in Rath, Hamirpur came into controversy due to the disorder in breakfast. Here a crowd broke out at the counter of chips and plums, people looted the packets and ran away. The interesting thing is that during this time even the groom is seen running away carrying a packet of chips.
The irregularities in the Chief Minister’s mass marriage ceremony held on Tuesday in Rath town of Hamirpur district were exposed when suddenly a stampede broke out at the breakfast counter. People broke into the breakfast table and started looting the food. Even the groom was seen running with a packet of chips. A total of 383 couples were married in this grand event held in the sports ground of Brahmanand Vidyalaya. Of these, 380 Hindu couples made each other life partners with traditional varmala, while three Muslim couples got married and started their life together.
Initially everything seemed normal during the program, but as soon as the turn of distributing breakfast came, the situation suddenly went out of control. The crowd rushed towards the plums and chips counter at the same time. Neither the organizing committee had made any arrangements nor was there any monitoring from the officials. For this reason people started looting the food kept on the counter. Some people started running away with packets of chips, while some were seen picking up plums and stuffing them in their pockets and bags.
During this, a groom is also seen running with a packet of chips. People are surprised to see this scene and are also making memes and sharing it on social media. In the video going viral on social media, many women are seen holding more than one plum in their hands, which they were seen taking home. The chaos increased so much that people were seen falling on each other.
An innocent child was also injured in the stampede that occurred during the incident. His hand fell into hot tea, due to which he got burnt. The absence of any responsible officer or management team on the spot created resentment among the people. People say that if food distribution arrangements were made properly and the crowd was controlled, such a situation would not have arisen.
Amidst all the celebrations, the snack counter soon became empty as the crowd consumed all the snacks within minutes. This video is now becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which people are raising questions on both the weaknesses of the system and the behavior of the crowd.
