Will officials’ expectations come or go?
Let us tell you that on December 20, officers remained ready the whole day in the Civil Surgeon office of Patna Sadar. All the documents including joining form were ready, but Dr. Nusrat did not arrive. Now after the extension of the date, there is optimism among the officials. “We are confident that she will join. It is important for her career,” said an official on condition of anonymity. However, the controversy continues on social media, where some people are linking it to religious intolerance. At the same time, some people are saying that the decision of Nitish government to extend the date of appointment was taken under political pressure, so that the matter does not get worse.
Will Nusrat Parveen make a new beginning?
However, Dr Nusrat’s joining is not only related to her personal career, but it can also become a symbol of health services and empowerment of minority women in Bihar. If she joins, it will be a positive message after the controversy. In the eyes of experts, Nusrat’s decision to join the job will indicate that she falls in the Gen G category, which views her identity, self-esteem and professional responsibilities separately. At the same time, in case of refusal, offers from other states can be an option for them. At present, till 31st December, all eyes are on Dr Nusrat. Will she end the wait or will the matter take a new twist?
