Netarhat: Jharkhand government is moving towards making Netarhat, famous as the Queen of Jharkhand, a new hub of tourism. In this series, the much awaited jungle safari was formally inaugurated in Netarhat. This facility, started under the joint operation of Palamu Tiger Reserve and Tourism Department, is being considered a big attraction for tourists.
Let us tell you that Netarhat is the most famous mountain tourist destination of Jharkhand, which is situated at an altitude of about 3700 feet above sea level. Due to its natural beauty, dense forests, waterfalls, calm weather and pleasant views, it is very popular among tourists not only from Jharkhand but also from Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and West Bengal. Every year from November to February a huge crowd of tourists gathers here. Between December and January, even hotels and rest houses get booked months in advance.
Deputy Director Avinash Kumar said that the state government is working seriously to establish Netarhat on the national level tourism map. Jungle Safari is an important step in this direction, which will not only promote tourism but will also increase employment opportunities for the local people. In the first phase, safari has been started with three open vehicles, which will be jointly monitored by the Forest Department and Tourism Department.

Upper Ghaghri, Lower Ghaghri, view points nestled amidst dense forests and many untouched places full of natural beauty have now been included in the safari route. This three-hour journey by open vehicle will give the tourists a close experience of the geographical and natural diversity of Netarhat.
There are many major places to visit in Netarhat. These places include Sunset Point, Cuckoo View, Pear Garden, Netarhat Residential School, Bungalow House and Netarhat Dam. With the start of Jungle Safari, the tourism experience of Netarhat will be further enriched and tourists will get an opportunity to come closer to nature in a new way.
