Due to which better roads will be constructed. So far many people have been injured on this road due to falling and overturning of vehicles.
Vishal Kumar/Chhapra: The condition of the roads in the rural area of Chapra in Bihar which were dilapidated for many years and where accidents used to occur daily, now seems to be improving. Crores of rupees have to be spent not only for food supply but also for building roads. Let us tell you that the Ekma-Dumaigarh road is being constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 41 crore. This road had become so dilapidated that people were getting injured due to vehicles falling and overturning on this road. Now the construction of this road is going on war footing at huge cost. A lot of happiness is being seen on the faces of the local people regarding this. Only last year, people had expressed their problems regarding the road on Local 18’s camera. This issue of the people was also published prominently. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has given permission to construct this road along with 27 schemes of Bihar. Now construction of the road has also started.
Through this road, people of Chhapra and Siwan will now be able to travel via Ekma and Tajpur within a short time. Before this, people had appealed several times to the local MLA and Parliament regarding the construction. Now that the road construction work has started, a sense of satisfaction is being seen on the faces of the people living in the nearby villages. More than 70% work has been done. This road will be completely ready in a few days.
What is the road distance and what is the cost?

Due to which better roads will be constructed. The total length of this road will be 11.75 kilometers, while the width of the road will be increased by 5.5 meters. This will make it much easier for vehicles to travel.
Know what the problem was
Due to the dilapidation of the road, there were potholes at many places. In which due to rain and excessive filling of drain water, the vehicles and people traveling were unable to see. Because of this the car used to overturn. Due to serious injury, bones of legs and arms would be broken. Only big gravel was visible on such a long road. During the summer season, only dust was being seen. Due to this even driving used to be difficult.
Know what the villagers say
Dinesh Kumar Yadav from Local 18 told that the road is being constructed from Ekma to Dumai Garh. This road is becoming very long. Its condition had become quite dilapidated. There was a lot of fear while traveling on this road. Told that through the road which used to take more than an hour to travel, now one can reach Tajpur Dumai Garh in 10 to 15 minutes. He told that this road connects many blocks of Chapra. Along with this, neighboring Siwan district is also connected by this road. Because of this, thousands of vehicles keep traveling through this road. We are very happy with its construction. Whether going to the hospital or the market will now become much easier. He told that for many years we have written to the local public representative and the district officer regarding its construction. After years of waiting the road is now being built. This makes people happy.
