Indian Railways Doubling rail line- Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railways, said that along with these pilgrimage places, every year lakhs of devotees come to visit Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirling and Rukmini Temple. Doubling of the railway line will provide relief to all these devotees.
New Delhi. In Chardham, along with the darshan of a Dwarkadhish, Somnath can also be darshan. Indian Railways has made a special plan for many religious places of Saurashtra, under this the railway line till Dwarka is being doubled. With this, Dwarka and many nearby religious places can be visited easily and in less time. This project has been approved by the Cabinet and work will start soon.
The project to double the 159 km long single line of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Okha) Canalus rail section has been approved. Its total cost will be Rs 1,457 crore. This line passes through Jamnagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka districts and is the most important rail route to Dwarka, the city of Lord Krishna. Spiritual importance of Dwarka and one of the Char Dham of Gargadwar is included in Saptapuri.

In this way the number of devotees visiting these pilgrimage places increases significantly. Currently, due to the single line here, trains take time. To pass one train, another has to stop at a station.
There will be connectivity with the port also
This line will also strengthen the area economically. Because it also connects Okha Port and Salaya Port directly. Through which edible salt, cement, fertilizers are transported. After doubling of the track, additional 11 million tonnes of additional goods can be transported every year.
Also beneficial for the environment
Double rail line will be better for the environment. Every year 2.8 crore liters of diesel will be saved. There will be a reduction of 14 crore kilograms in carbon emissions, which will be equivalent to planting about 56 lakh trees every year. Also, there will be a saving of Rs 311 crore annually in logistics cost. The target is to complete the work in 3 to 4 years after it starts.
