Himachal Pradesh News: In Himachal Pradesh, people had to visit the RTO office for passing vehicles. But now the entire process will be online. The Transport Department has created an app regarding this and the entire process will be done through it.
Market. In Himachal Pradesh, now passing of vehicles is being done through mobile app. Himachal Pradesh Transport Department has recently started this system through all the RTO offices of the state. This is the first time that mobile apps and online are being used for passing vehicles. The Transport Department has created a mobile app for this which works only within a radius of 500 meters in the passing area. If the mobile is taken out of it then this app stops working. Due to this the department is also tracking the location of MVI.
Actually, after first applying online for passing of vehicles, a file was prepared which was shown to the MVI on the spot and then they used to sign it. After this, this file had to be taken to the RTO and then the RTO would sign it and give the final approval.
However, now the complete inspection of the vehicle will be done by MVI through the mobile app and all the information including its photo is filled online. All this information reaches the RTO and from there approval is given with immediate effect. Vehicle owners no longer have to make repeated trips to the RTO office. This system has been started only for the passing through RTO offices whereas the passing at the level of SDM office is still being done in the old way. There too, the department is working on a plan to start it soon.
Passing is being done with complete transparency through new technology
RTO Mandi Naveen Sharma said that with the new technology the passing of vehicles is being done with complete transparency. The mobile app works only within a radius of 500 meters of the passing area. This is saving people’s money and time and also reducing the burden on office staff.
