Pithoragarh: The relationship between India and China is very delicate. Only then the ice on relationships starts melting. Then sometimes they start showing their aggressive side. However, some time ago India and China had extended the hand of friendship afresh. Forgetting old things, both of them started writing a new script of their relationship. Its effect was also visible on the ground. When the border dispute was resolved, the soldiers of both the countries retreated. Wherever there was tension, there was disengagement. Now news is coming that no one will be able to go near the China border. However, the reason behind this is not any tension but there is a connection with Kailash Yatra. Let us know the whole matter…
This year Adi Kailash Yatra started from 30th May. 36,526 tourists had reached here in the last 5 months. This figure of tourists broke all the records of the past years. It is noteworthy that in the year 2023, PM Narendra Modi etc. had reached Kailash. After this, this area became a center of religious tourism and people started coming in large numbers.
Pithoragarh DM Ashish Bhatgani said that inner line passes will not be issued from December 1. Now inner line passes will be issued before the journey next year. The number of tourists reaching Adi Kailash in 2022 was only 1757. Whereas in 2023 this figure will increase rapidly and reach beyond 10,000. After PM Modi’s visit, this figure has increased rapidly last year.
The number of tourists arriving here in the year 2024 has crossed 29 thousand. But, this time all the records were broken. More than 10 thousand travelers have even visited Mount Kailash in China from Old Lipulekh. Somewhere along the border, the villagers are benefiting a lot from the increasing number of tourists. It is providing employment. Not only this, home stays have also flourished in villages like Gunji, Nabi and Kuti.
After the construction of the road connecting Lipulekh border, the journey here has become much easier. This is the reason why tourists from all over the country and the world are reaching here in large numbers. The increasing number of tourists in Adi Kailash Yatra is clearly indicating that this figure is going to go much further in the coming years. In such a situation, it is necessary for the administration to create infrastructure for necessary facilities in the border areas.
