Traffic Change Bihta to Patna: According to Danapur Sub-Divisional Officer, traffic of any type of vehicle from Shivala Chowk to Kanhauli will be completely closed from 18 December 2025 to 15 July 2026. However, relaxation has been given for school vehicles for a specific time.
Patna: Due to the elevated corridor being built between Danapur and Bihta, a major change has been made in the traffic system. Now the movement of vehicles on the road from Bihta to Patna has been completely stopped for the next 7 months. Actually, according to the information released by the Danapur Sub-Divisional Officer’s office, road construction work is to be done from Shivala Chowk to Kanhauli. There will be no movement of vehicles on this route during this construction work. The administration has appealed to the people to use alternative routes during the stipulated period.
No entry for next six months
According to Danapur Sub-Divisional Officer, any type of vehicle traffic will be completely closed from Shivala Chowk to Kanhauli from 18 December 2025 to 15 July 2026. However, relaxation has been given for school vehicles for a specific time. Under this, only school vehicles will be allowed to move from 07:30 am to 08:30 am and from 02:00 pm to 03:00 pm. At the same time, if there is a change in the timings of educational institutions in the future, there is a possibility of change in the operating timings of the vehicles.
What is the alternative way?
During the construction work, the administration has decided on several alternative routes for traffic movement between Arrah (Bhojpur) and Patna. Among these, one can reach Patna from Arrah (Bhojpur) via Bihta Chowk, Maner, Danapur Cantt. Apart from this, one can enter Shivala and then Patna from Arrah (Bhojpur) via Bihta Chowk, Maner, Sherpur, Chhitnawan, Usri Bazaar. There will be entry into Patna from Ara (Bhojpur) via Bihta Chowk, Kanhauli (Sarmera Mod), Naubatpur, Patna AIIMS intersection. Fourth alternative route, one can come from Arrah (Bhojpur) via Bihta Chowk to Kanhauli (Sarmera Mor), from Naubatpur Bazar to Shivala and then to Patna.
Nonstop road from Patna to Bihta is being constructed.
Let us tell you that Danapur-Bihta Elevated Corridor is an ambitious road project connecting Bihar’s capital Patna and its western part. The objective of this corridor is to reduce the increasing traffic pressure in Danapur, Bihta and surrounding areas and to ease the Ara-Patna route. This elevated corridor will be approximately 25 kilometers long. This four-lane road will start from Danapur Railway Station and go till Bihta Chowk. Construction work is going on rapidly.
