OpenAI has launched a new Shopping Research tool in ChatGPT, specifically designed to make holiday shopping easier and faster. OpenAI said that this tool is based on GPT-5 mini model, which has been specially trained for the shopping task. It reads high-quality sites and trusted review platforms, avoids spammy or paid marketing content, and compares products in real-time. Most importantly, user chats are not shared with retailers and results are not influenced by affiliate links.
