Motihari Samachar: Police has arrested 12 people who were drunk in a wedding procession in Jharokhar police station area of Motihari district of Bihar. The police is busy taking strict legal action against all the accused.

Now the police has launched a strict campaign against those who serve and drink liquor at the weddings of friends and relatives. Where late Friday night, major action was taken in a marriage procession in Jharokhar police station area of East Champaran district. The police have arrested 12 drunk people here. Besides, everyone is being strictly interrogated and is taking legal action.
12 drunk people arrested
Let us tell you that Jharokhar police received information that many people were drunk in a wedding procession here. Also there is jam on the road. As soon as the information was received, Jharokhar police station chief reached the wedding procession with the police team. Here 12 people attending the wedding were found drunk. On the basis of suspicion, the police detained everyone and got them medically examined. Where excess amount of alcohol was found in everyone’s body.
Drunk people will be sent to jail
These 12 people have been arrested in the police arrest, which include Satya Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Akhilesh Kumar, Upendra Soni, Dilip Kumar, Ram Pukar, Jayant Shah, Ajay Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Toofani Majhi. While the name of another one is not clear. The police took all the accused in the car from the wedding procession and took them to the police station. Where a case was registered under Bihar Prohibition Act. Along with this, preparations are being made to send everyone to jail.
In this entire matter, East Champaran SP Swarn Prabhat has clearly said that strict action will be taken against those who serve liquor in the name of marriage. In this entire matter, instructions have been given to all the police stations of the district to keep vigil during marriage processions and ceremonies. Also, immediate action should be taken against those drinking and serving alcohol. He said that people create ruckus in wedding processions by drinking alcohol. They also create problems for others. He has warned that this campaign will be done more rapidly in the coming marriage season.
