Why was Rabri Devi’s residence changed?
According to sources, Rabri Devi is currently the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council. According to this post, he has been allotted 39 Harding Road government accommodation. Earlier, 10 Circular Road was allotted to Rabri Devi on the basis of former CM. It is being told that as per the new rule, since former Chief Ministers do not get government accommodation, Rabri Devi will be given government accommodation as per the post of MLC. In fact, on 19 February 2019, Patna High Court rejected Tejashwi Yadav’s petition and ordered to vacate his residence. But along with this the court implemented a major change – the system of providing lifelong bungalows and facilities to former Chief Ministers is unconstitutional. This means that now government accommodation will be linked to the post, not to the individual.
