He is being continuously interrogated. It is noteworthy that Mukhiya was missing from home since November 28 and his phone was also found switched off. After this his wife lodged an FIR in Sadar police station. In this, six people including businessman Jawahar Pathak were accused of kidnapping. This matter suddenly gained momentum and everyone from the police to the local people became worried.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Chief in-charge Tapesh Pathak suddenly appeared on Facebook Live and gave a shocking statement. He said that no one had kidnapped him, rather he had gone to Munger and Jamalpur to buy weapons. He told that he also met arms smugglers there, but did not buy weapons. When he came to know that his wife had filed a case of kidnapping, he came forward.
Amrit Bharat caught by train
The police had kept an eye on the entire activity of the in-charge chief. Ultimately he was caught in Amrit Bharat train from Purnia Junction. During the investigation, the police came to know that a case was already registered against Mukhiya Tapesh Pathak under the SC-ST Act, in which he was absconding. Sadar police station in-charge Ajay Kumar said that the chief is constantly changing his statement. Sometimes he denies kidnapping, sometimes he says that he was taken forcibly. The police is investigating all his statements. It is also being ascertained whether he had really gone to buy weapons or he went missing due to some other reason.
After a case of kidnapping was registered in the incident, along with Purnia Police, the team of Badhara Kothi police station was also engaged in searching for him. Due to the sudden disappearance of the chief, various types of discussions had started in the village. Now the police is trying to determine what is the real reason behind the fake kidnapping drama. Besides, the allegations made by the wife are also being legally investigated. At present, Chief Tapesh Pathak is in police custody and interrogation is going on.
