The entire journey from education to employment will now be completed under an organized administrative structure, in which it is claimed that every youth will get opportunities. Bihar government has taken a big step to connect the youth of the state with employment and skill training. The government has set a target of providing jobs and employment to one crore youth in the next five years i.e. between 2025 and 2030. Keeping this goal in mind, the formation of three new departments has been announced. Bihar government says that this decision is not just a scheme for the youth, but a step that will change the economic and social direction of the state in the coming years.
Nitish government said that jobs, training and entrepreneurship opportunities will be continuously provided to the youth of the state. He says that the government’s commitment is clear – the youth of Bihar should be self-reliant, capable and connected to employment. The government claims that after this change, new avenues of employment will open in the state and the youth will not have to depend on other states for jobs.
Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department will become the main center
According to the decision of Nitish government, through the newly created Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department, a large number of youth will be linked to entrepreneurship opportunities, training and employment through government schemes. The main objective of this department will be to make the youth employable and to prepare skills as per the market demand. The government has indicated that employment and training programs will be run on a large scale in all the districts so that more youth can get the opportunity to start a job or business.
Changes from Higher Education Department to Universities and Technical Education
Civil Aviation Department to give impetus to air network and industries
Nitish government has said that many new airports are being constructed in the state and in the coming years more airports will be built under the UDAN scheme, hence a separate civil aviation department is being formed. This will boost industry, investment, logistics and tourism. The government claims that the expansion of the aviation sector will accelerate new industries, exports, employment and private investment.
MSME Directorate and Marketing Corporation will also be formed.
The government said that a separate Directorate of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will be created. Mega skill centers will be opened in every district, so that the youth can get immediate employment with modern skills. Additionally, the formation of Bihar Marketing Promotion Corporation will strengthen the market for products of agriculture, animal husbandry, handicrafts, food processing and rural industries.

In the eyes of experts, the government is taking steps to move forward with the right intentions, in such a situation, when this framework will be implemented at the ground level in the coming five years, then it will be seen whether this scheme proves to be just an announcement or really gives a new direction to the future of the youth of Bihar.
