Ranchi News: Nilesh of Ranchi cultivates foreign fruits on his 5 acres of land, which fetch good prices in the market. They are earning huge profits in a year by growing crops like dragon fruit, ramphal, strawberry etc.
Ranchi. Nilesh, a resident of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, made very good use of his ancestral 5 acres of land. They used it for farming and about 15 types of crops are grown here. Most of the crops are foreign and expensive. Like dragon fruit, strawberry, ramphal, sapota. Cultivation of all these can be seen here.
Because the price of all these things remains very high in the market. One kg is sold for approximately ₹1200. Nilesh says that I have been doing this farming for the last 5 years and not only this, I have also built a resort-like room inside my land and now this form has changed into tourism. People come here to see farming and to visit.

He told that all kinds of plants like papaya, guava, lemon, strawberry will be seen here and they bear such good fruits that people even cut one or two and eat them while roaming around. Many times people roam around with knives so that if they find any good fruit, they can cut it and eat it. The market price of all these remains quite high. Just as strawberries yield at least 40 kg in a month, guavas yield up to 500 kg.
Manure is also prepared here and a separate pond has been made for irrigation. In which water reaches the roots of all the plants through pipes through a motor. People come here and also see how manure is prepared by decomposing cow dung or kitchen and tree waste.
Earning up to Rs 6 lakh annually
Nilesh says that he earns a good amount annually, roughly an income of more than Rs 6 lakh. Because things like strawberry, ramphal, dragon or fig go for up to ₹ 1000 a kg in the market. In such a situation, 60% of the profit comes from these. However, we also have three staff to handle this form. Because whether it is maintenance of trees or pesticides, it is important to look at all these things.
