The investigating agency is going to complete the investigation in just 232 days and file the charge sheet. Many important revelations are going to be made in this charge sheet regarding the Pakistan connection of terrorists.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is going to file a charge sheet today at 2 pm in the case of the horrific terrorist attack that took place on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. This incident shocked the entire country, in which terrorists had brutally killed 22 innocent tourists. This charge sheet prepared by the investigating agency after thorough investigation is going to prove to be an important turning point in the case. According to sources, after the investigation of Pahalgam attack was handed over to NIA, the agency has completed its investigation in just 232 days. This speed shows the seriousness of the investigation and the commitment of the agency.
Apart from this, the charge sheet is being filed today, exactly on the 176th day after the first arrest in this case. During the presentation of the charge sheet, SSP rank officers of NIA will also be present in the court, which underlines its importance. It is believed that many important revelations related to the terrorist conspiracy have been made in the charge sheet. In particular, concrete evidence is likely to emerge about the Pakistani connections of the attackers and their links with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. During the investigation, it has become clear that the three terrorists who carried out the attack were citizens of Pakistan and belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
This attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22 had emerged as a serious challenge to the internal security of the country. Immediately after the attack, the Central Government handed over the investigation of the case to the NIA, which took immediate action and started the investigation. The NIA team conducted a thorough inspection of the incident site, recorded statements of witnesses and collected digital and forensic evidence. During the investigation, the agency had made two important arrests in the month of June. The arrested accused Parvez Ahmed Jothar (resident of Batkot) and Bashir Ahmed Jothar (resident of Pahalgam) are accused of providing shelter and assistance to the three terrorists who carried out the attack.
Both these accused confessed during interrogation that the attackers were Pakistani citizens and active members of Lashkar-e-Taiba. After this, due to the alertness and bravery of the Indian Army, all three terrorists were killed in an encounter in the month of July. This action of the army eliminated the main culprits of the attack, but the responsibility of uncovering the network behind the conspiracy was on the NIA. The charge sheet to be filed today is expected to give detailed details of the role of these local associates, the infiltration routes of the terrorists and their contacts with Pakistan-based handlers.
