Lucknow: Keeping in view the rapid expansion of global and domestic tourism in Uttar Pradesh, a strong picture of major investment in the tourism and hospitality sector of the state is emerging. During the meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Chandrasekaran shared important information regarding the expansion of the group’s operated and proposed hotel chain in Uttar Pradesh. He said that this expansion has been proposed keeping in mind the continuously increasing tourist arrivals in the state, significant increase in religious and cultural tourism and comprehensive development of connectivity and infrastructure.
30 new hotels will be built by 2026
During the meeting, the Chairman of Tata Sons told the Chief Minister that the construction work of 30 hotels of prestigious brands like Taj, Selections and Vivanta is currently in progress in the state. On this occasion, he also informed the Chief Minister about the progress of these projects. As a result, 1900 luxury hotel rooms will increase in the state. Apart from this, work is also underway on the plan to build 30 new hotels by 2026.

In the meeting with Chief Minister N. Chandrasekaran said that a state of the art signature hotel of Tata Group is also proposed in Noida, which will make Uttar Pradesh emerge as the fastest growing hospitality market of India. Apart from this, special emphasis was laid on completing the first phase of construction work of the proposed ‘Museum of Temple’ project in Ayodhya in collaboration with Tata Group by January 2027. State-of-the-art technology based displays are being developed in this museum, which will be a special attraction for tourists coming from India and abroad.
The ponds of Mathura-Vrindavan will be renovated
It was also decided that the Tata Group will also provide support in the renovation of eight major ponds including Mansi Ganga Kund, Shyam Kund, Radha Kund, Ashtakashi Kund, Nari Semri Kund, Garud Govind Kund, Krishna Kund in the Mathura-Vrindavan region and the cleanliness and conservation of the major Ganga ghats of the state. This partnership of Tata Group will prove to be an important and decisive step towards establishing Uttar Pradesh as a major tourism and hospitality hub of the country.
