PM Vishwakarma Yojana: 74 fish net makers received certificates under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Raniganj, Araria. Araria: Under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, important steps have been taken towards making the artisans self-reliant in the district. In a program organized by the Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Raniganj (Araria), certificates were distributed to 74 workers associated with the fish net maker business after completing the training. All the trainees are residents of Araria district.
Will start my own employment
In the program, Principal of the institute, Rajeev Kumar gave certificates to all the workers and wished them for their bright future. He said that after completing the training, these workers will be provided loans at low interest rates through government banks, so that they can set up their own units and start their own employment. Under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, the government is providing training, financial assistance and modern equipment facilities to 18 traditional artisan classes across the country. The aim of this initiative is to make traditional artisans self-reliant and connect them with new technology.
More than 700 people took training and took advantage of the scheme
The Principal said that training work in various professions is going on under this scheme in all the three government ITI institutes of Araria district. So far in this financial year, more than 700 artisans have received training. Also taking advantage of this scheme.
