The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) seeks to attract international real estate developers, infrastructure companies and financial institutions through online roadshow on the redevelopment of the New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS). This online roadshow will start from 14 January ie till 19 January 2021.

Investors and developers from Singapore, Australia, Dubai and Spain are participating in this roadshow of RLDA. In this, the project concept and the structure of the proposed transaction will be discussed with the bidders. RLDA Vice President Ved Prakash Dudeja said that the redevelopment project will give a boost to tourism. It will also help in the economic development of the region. Through the online roadshow, this project will help in connecting various companies. This will inform them about every aspect of the project. This project is to be completed within four years. The project is to be developed on a design-build-finance-operate-transfer (DBFOT) model for 60 years. The project will cost around Rs 5,000 crore. Several companies including Adani, GMR, JKB Infra, Arab Construction Company, SNCF, Anchorage participated in the pre-bid summit held in September 2020.

All these facilities will be in the project spread over 120 hectares
The New Delhi Railway Station Redevelopment Project will be spread over 120 hectares. Of this, 88 hectares will be completed in the first phase. Under the project, construction work will be done in about 12 lakh sqm area. A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor of Delhi to expedite the clearances related to the project. A new building with modern facilities will be built under the project, which will have two entries and two exits. In addition, railway offices, railway quarters and assistant railway offices will be built. Commercial offices, hotels and residential complexes will be built along with the station premises. Two multi-model transport hubs, 40 floor high twin towers will be built on either side of the station.
