New Anganwadi Center In Dhanbad: The process of enrolling children of 3 to 6 years in the center has also been kept very simple. The parents of any child will have to come to the center only with the Aadhar card of the child’s mother and a passport size photograph, after which the child can be registered.
Dhanbad: The state government has taken a new initiative with the aim of strengthening the better future, health and nutrition of children. In this series, the Anganwadi center operated at Raja Ground in Dhanbad has now been shifted to the new building built just below the TP Singh office at Katras Mor. With the opening of the new centre, many facilities will be available to the children and women of the community at one place.

The specialty of the new Anganwadi building is that elementary education, nutritious food and regular health services will be provided to children aged 3 to 6 years. Children from economically weaker families will also now be able to get balanced nutrition and better education. Apart from this, vaccination, sports, pre-school activities and benefits of government schemes will also reach the children in the centre.

This new center is going to prove to be very helpful for pregnant women also. They will be easily given information about health check-up, nutritional advice, vaccination and other schemes here. Especially under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), financial assistance of ₹ 5000 will be provided to pregnant women. So that their nutrition and health care system can be strengthened during pregnancy.

Anganwadi’s assistant Geeta Devi, who has been serving for the last 7 years, says that till now she has vaccinated about 1500 children for polio. Health benefits have been provided to 700 pregnant women. He says that since all the facilities in the new building will be more advanced, the quality of service will be better.

After which registration will be done immediately. Local people are hopeful that the opening of the new building will bring positive changes in the overall development of children and health of women in the area.
