Lucknow. Sonu Jaiswal, one of the people killed in the Nepal plane crash, recently went to Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu to pay obeisance after fulfilling his vow to have a son. His family members gave this information. Vijay Jaiswal, Sonu’s relative and head of Chak Zainab village, told PTI that Jaiswal (35) has two daughters and had vowed to Lord Pashupatinath that if he was blessed with a son, he would visit the temple.
Sonu went to Nepal for darshan after having a son
He said, ‘Sonu went to Nepal on January 10 with his three friends. Sonu’s sole aim was to visit Lord Pashupatinath, as his wish of having a son had been fulfilled recently, but fate had something else in store for him. His son is just six months old. Sonu has a liquor shop in the district, he has a house in Alawalpur Chatti but he was currently living in Sarnath, Varanasi. Jaiswal told that three other friends of Sonu, Abhishek Kushwaha (25), Vishal Sharma (22) and Anil Kumar Rajbhar (27) are also included in the dead.

Vijay Jaiswal said that as soon as the news of the plane crash spread, almost the entire village gathered outside Sonu’s house and wished him well, as they hoped he would be fine. The officials of the district administration later came with the sad news. He said, ‘Sonu’s wife and children have not yet been told about the incident. They are in another house. Villagers told that Sonu and his three friends were to return to Ghazipur on Tuesday after enjoying paragliding at the popular tourist destination Pokhara.
68 deaths confirmed so far
Officials said in Nepal that the four had stayed at a cow shed near the Pashupatinath temple and then at Hotel ‘Discovery Inn’ in Thamel before going to Pokhara. He said that he was planning to return to India from Pokhara via Gorakhpur. Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula said that there is no information about any survivors so far. The Yeti Airlines passenger plane crashed on Sunday, officials said. At least 68 people including five Indians died in this accident.
The deceased were residents of different villages of Kasimabad tehsil of Ghazipur district.
An official of Yeti Airlines told that another Indian named Sanjay Jaiswal has also died. According to the locals, Anil Kumar Rajbhar was in computer business and ran a ‘Jan Seva Kendra’, while Abhishek was also in computer business and Vishal Sharma worked as a computer operator in a two-wheeler shop. District Magistrate Aryka Akhori told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ over the phone on Sunday, ‘Sonu Jaiswal, Anil Rajbhar, Abhishek Kushwaha and Vishal Sharma of Ghazipur are also among those killed in the plane crash in Nepal. They were residents of different villages of Kasimabad tehsil.
DM said – the relatives of the dead are being contacted
He told, ‘The families of the deceased are being contacted. Our Deputy Collector and other officers are meeting him. Akhori said, ‘We are also in touch with the embassy. Rescue work is going on in Nepal. Currently it has stopped due to night but it will start again tomorrow. After receiving the dead body, we will take necessary action.
