Ghazipur. Sonu Jaiswal, a 35-year-old liquor shop operator from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur district, was one of the five Indians killed in the Yeti Airlines Nepal crash on Sunday in Pokhara, Nepal. Deceased Sonu went to pray at the famous Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu after his two daughters got son Ratna. His vow was fulfilled, so he went to Pashupatinath temple to offer thanks. But God had approved something else.
After fulfilling the vow of having a son, Sonu went to Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu to pay obeisance. But his family members got some other news. Jaiswal (35) of Chak Zainab village has two daughters and had vowed to Lord Pashupatinath that he would visit the temple if he was blessed with a son. Sonu’s relative and head of Chak Zainab village Vijay Jaiswal told that Sonu had gone to Nepal (Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport) on January 10 with three of his friends.
It is said that Sonu only wanted to see Lord Pashupatinath and wanted to thank him by bowing down. His wish of having a son was fulfilled recently. His son is just six months old. Sonu has a liquor shop in the district. He has a house in Alawalpur Chatti but he was currently living in Sarnath, Varanasi.
Regarding this incident, Vijay Jaiswal told that three other friends of Sonu, Abhishek Kushwaha (25), Vishal Sharma (22) and Anil Kumar Rajbhar (27) are also included in the dead. Vijay Jaiswal said that as soon as the information about the plane crash was received, the entire village had gathered outside Sonu’s house. The officials of the district administration informed the relatives about this sad incident.
Information has been received that Sonu’s wife and children have not yet been told anything regarding this incident. They are in another house. Villagers told that Sonu and his three friends had to return to Ghazipur on Tuesday after enjoying paragliding at the popular tourist destination Pokhara. Officials said in Nepal that the four had stayed at a cow shed near the Pashupatinath temple and then at Hotel ‘Discovery Inn’ in Thamel before going to Pokhara. He said that he was preparing to return to India from Pokhara via Gorakhpur. Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula said that there is no information about any survivors so far.
Let us tell that a total of 68 people including 5 Indians have died in this plane crash. According to Yeti Airlines, another Indian named Sanjay Jaiswal has also died. PM Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over this accident.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath) expressed grief over this incident by tweeting. He said, “The plane crash in Nepal is very sad. Humble tribute to all the people who died in this, including the Indian citizens! My condolences are with the bereaved families. May Lord Shri Ram grant place to the departed souls in His holy feet and speedy recovery to the injured. In another tweet, he said that officials have been instructed to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs to make arrangements to bring the mortal remains of the deceased people of Uttar Pradesh to the state.
