Manish, a young farmer from Badel village of Barabanki district, is cultivating lettuce in about one bigha. With this, they can easily make a profit of Rs 50 to 60 thousand on one crop. Manish explains that for its cultivation, first of all deep plowing is done. Cow dung is applied as fertilizer in the fields and the fields are leveled. Then the seeds are sown. After the plants grow, irrigate regularly. The crop is ready in 35 to 40 days.
