Bijapur/ Dantewada. During the encounter in the forests of Chhattisgarh, the security forces found an important letter from Naxalites. In this letter, Naxalites used many codewords for their mutual communication and security strategy. This letter received by News 18 has been decoded with the help of intelligence officers and those who know the Gondi language. Shocking information has come to light from this. In this, codewords have been made from onion, reams of paper and words of Gondi language. This letter has also revealed the hidden plans of Naxalites. This letter not only provides strategic information for the security forces but also reveals all the information about the activities of Naxalites and their movement patterns in the forest.
From this letter it has been revealed that Naxalites share the movements of police and forces and the position of their group through their radio sets and HF radio. Using codewords like “pyaz”, “sukli”, and “tikur”, they inform each other about the enemy’s numbers, position and movements of their group. This disclosure is very important for the security forces because from this the complete map of Naxalites’ strategy and their command structure in the forest can be understood.
In the encounter that took place on Bijapur and Dantewada border between 3-4 December, security forces killed about 18 Naxalites. These Naxalites had automatic rifles like AK-47, SLR and INSAS. In the letters found at the incident site, the Naxalites had written code words for their mutual communication, which looked like a list of general ration, but in reality were messages related to the activities of the force and the party.

- During any force movement, they inform each other by speaking code words.
- Codeword means not only the message but also the strategy of action.
- At every step in the forest, the position of the force and the movement of Naxalites are tracked.
- Leaders like senior commanders Deva and Modiyam Vella monitor these codewords.
Strategy and importance for security forces
It became clear from the letter that Naxalites keep track of their mutual contacts and movements in the forest through codewords. With this, the security forces not only get an idea of the number of Naxalites but also their hidden areas and next activities. Where earlier Naxalites used to rule unilaterally in the forest, now there is a security force camp at every kilometer. This is the reason why Naxalites adopted the language of codewords, so that their plan remains safe even if intercepted by the force.
Naxalites are now more organized and alert
It is clear from the letter found in the Bijapur encounter that the Naxalites have now become more organized and alert.
