Who is Naxalite Namder?
54 year old Central Committee member Ramder is a resident of Majjimendhri village of Bhairamgarh, Bijapur of Bastar. The people of the village know him by the name of Majjidev. 54 year old Ramder had joined the Naxal organization 35 years ago. He is one of the first people who were recruited into the Naxal organization by Naxal Central Committee member Muppala Laxman Rao.
Naxalites’ military commission strengthened
Between 2000 and 2005, some LTTE members fled from Sri Lanka to India. Then he was given shelter by the Indian CPI Maoists. At that time, LTTE people had given special guerrilla warfare training to a group of CPI Maoists in the forests of Bastar. During this time, the LTTE group had also taught the Maoists of Bastar to use IED explosives as a major weapon against police and paramilitary force personnel.
Trended for 20 years
Ramder was one of the most active members of the team which took training from the LTTE. After that, Ramder was made the Secretary of the Military Commission of the most dreaded Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee of the Naxalites, who has given rigorous training in guerrilla warfare to the Military Commission of the Naxalites for 20 years.

Ramder did not like his fame at all. He was one of those people who kept themselves secret almost till the last days of Naxalism. Apart from this, the responsibility of preparing new fighters for the Naxal organization was also on the shoulders of Ramder. Till 6 months ago he had given training to new fighters in Bastar.
Ramder also went to Sri Lanka
A few years after taking training from LTTE, Ramder was also sent by the Naxalites to Sri Lanka, so that he could take training and supply of new modern weapons from them. Here Ramder not only got training in many modern weapons, he also returned after learning how to make small weapons. After this, Naxalites made progress in this and made their own UBGL and other weapons.

There were 6 companies and 12 platoons of Naxalites in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra. There were about 150 armed Naxalites in one company. There were 70 to 80 armed Naxalites in 1 platoon. Ramder himself prepared these thousands of Naxalites of companies and platoons. Hundreds of force personnel were killed in ambushes by Naxalites in the last 10 years. It was Ramder who taught the Naxalites how to set up an ambush. Apart from this, making a tunnel under the ground and dumping weapons in it or making secret tunnels for Naxalites to hide is the brainchild of Ramder.
Prepared many like Hidma, Deva
Be it Hidma, the dreaded leader of Naxalites who was killed or Zinda Deva, it was Ramder who made them dreaded by training them. Till now, Ramder has given dreaded guerrilla training to more than 5000 Naxalites from Bastar and different areas.
Basavaraju had given promotion
Ramder had greatly strengthened the Naxal organization in North Bastar like Kanker, Dhamtari and adjoining areas of Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. In order to strengthen the Naxal organization in these areas, Ramder was made a member of the Central Committee and was sent to strengthen the MMC zone of the Naxalites. Because, due to the killing of Central Committee member Milind Teltumde in an encounter in November 2021, this area of Naxalites had gradually become completely weakened. Ramder was sent to the MMC zone of Naxalites in April 2025 itself.
MMC zone Naxal free within 6 months
After the surrender of Ramder and his 11 associates, Rajnadgaon and Khairagarh districts of Chhattisgarh, Gondia of Maharashtra and Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh have become completely Naxal-free. Because, Ramder and his team were the last big team of Naxalites in this area. Before Ramdar, all the big Naxalites of this area had surrendered. Now with the surrender of Ramder, this area has become completely Naxal free.
