New Delhi. At least nine people were injured in the twin blasts in Jammu on Saturday. Giving this information, Jammu’s Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh said that the blasts took place in Narwal area of Jammu city.
Officials said that the forensic team and bomb disposal squad have reached the Narwal blast site. According to preliminary investigation, it could be an IED blast.
Stuffunknowncame across a CCTV video just before the blasts, in which a blue colored scooter, a motorcycle and some other vehicles are seen at the spot.

On the other hand, in another video, many policemen and locals are seen standing there at some distance. According to the information received, the security personnel immediately reached the blast site and took the injured to a nearby hospital. The area has been cordoned off.
These twin blasts also cause concern because senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is in Jammu and Kashmir these days as part of the last phase of his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Due to security reasons, a major part of the journey in the state will be completed by bus.
Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is set to end with a mega rally in Srinagar, which is expected to be attended by leaders of around two dozen national parties. The foot march, which started from Kanyakumari in the southern tip of the country in September last year, has covered a distance of about 3,400 kilometers in 125 days.
These blasts in Narwal were preceded by twin blasts in Rajouri, in which seven members of the minority community, including two children, were killed and fourteen others were injured in Upper Dangri village.
