In this heinous crime, Rebecca’s biological mother Courtney Bartholomew and stepfather Bradley Bartholomew have been accused of serious charges like murder, torture, illegal detention and disposal of the dead body. Along with Rebecca’s death, her unborn child also lost her life, making this case even more dangerous. Rebecca Parks went missing in early November. She was in the last phase of pregnancy and was going to give birth to a child in a few days. She was last seen on November 3, when she went to her mother and stepfather’s home in Boone, Michigan. On December 1, Courtney and Bradley Bartholomew were arrested and presented in court on charges of Rebecca’s murder. The facts presented in the hearing held the next day stunned everyone. First the mother denied the allegations, then accepted
The prosecution alleged in the court that on November 3, Courtney and Bradley called 38-week pregnant Rebecca to their home, then forcibly took her to the forest in another vehicle. There they attacked her with a knife, made her lie on the ground and took out the unborn child from her stomach. According to prosecutors, during this time Rebecca was alive and in great pain. After this cruel act, both of them left Rebecca to die in the forest.
