More than 9 thousand people died in Russian attack, ‘Each crime will be accounted for’ – Ukraine’s pain

Kyiv. There is no end in sight to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. This war which started in the month of February of the year 2022 is still going on. Meanwhile, along with the soldiers, the lives of the common people were also lost. Thousands of people lost their loved ones. In this series, a senior aide to the President of Ukraine said on Tuesday that since Russia’s invasion last February, more than 9,000 civilians, including 453 children, have been killed in Ukraine.

Andrey Yermak, chief of staff of the Ukrainian president, spoke at the World Economic Forum in the Swiss resort of Davos. “We have recorded 80,000 crimes committed by Russian invaders and more than 9,000 Ukrainian citizens have been killed, including 453 children,” he said. He said, ‘We will not forgive a single crime. Every criminal will be held accountable. He reiterated, “Ukraine wants a special international tribunal to try Russian political leaders and the destruction caused by Russia’s invasion.”

On Monday, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said that more than 7,000 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since Russia’s invasion. At the same time, the number of people who lost their lives in Russia’s missile attack on a residential building in the southeastern city of Dnipro in Ukraine has increased to 37. An official gave this information on Monday. Regional governor Valentin Reznichenko said rescuers were still struggling to pull survivors out of the rubble. About 75 people have been injured in the attack and 39 others are missing.

According to locals, around 1,700 people lived in the multi-storey building. There was no military facility on the spot. According to the ‘Associated Press-Frontline War Crimes Watch Project’, this is the highest number of civilian casualties at one place after 30 September. (from input language)
