Xiaomi announced the updated MIUI 12.5 in China in December last year. This OS was introduced at the time of the Mi 11 launch. Now the company has informed about the launch of MIUI 12.5 in the global market with details of roll out. On Monday evening, the company announced the release of the next version of MIUI Skin in two phases. The first phase will start in the second quarter of this year and some phones of the Mi series will get this update. It also includes the latest Mi 11 smartphone.

The second phase update will be rolled out in the second quarter of 2021. This includes mostly affordable and budget smartphones. Most of them are Mi branded smartphones while the Redmi brand.

It is expected that after the rollout starts, the company will add some more devices to this list. It is believed that smartphones which have received MIUI 12 update should also get MIUI 12.5. Changes with the update include new features such as responsive gestures, clipboard control and improved permissions management.

Talk about the latest Mi 11 smartphone, it is one of the select smartphones coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. It has a 6.81 inch WQHD + panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz.
The smartphone has a triple camera setup on the rear which is equipped with 108 megapixel primary, 13 megapixel ultra-wide-angle and 5 megapixel macro sensor. The phone has a 20-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
