Meerut Metro News: The finishing work of Brahmpuri station of Meerut Metro has been completed and operations are likely to start for the people of Meerut soon. In the initial phase, passengers will get metro facility from Meerut South to Brahmapuri. The station is fully equipped with facilities like 4 tracks, 2 platforms, lift, escalator, ticket vending machine and security room. For the first time in the country, Meerut Metro will run on the infrastructure of semi-high-speed train Namo Bharat. Metro will run at 13 stations in a total of 23 km section.

In the initial phase, the people of Meerut will soon get the opportunity to enjoy the facilities of Meerut Metro for passengers from Meerut South to Brahmpuri station.
Actually, according to NCRTC, the finishing work of Brahmapuri metro station built in front of Madhampuram Colony has now been completed. Passengers will not face any problem in commuting from here. This station is built only for Meerut Metro and semi-high-speed train Namo Bharat will not stop here.
This station comes after Shatabdi Nagar from Meerut South in the direction of Modipuram. From Brahmpuri station, it will be easy for the passengers to go to Shatabdi Nagar by metro, which will make the journey to Delhi or Ghaziabad more convenient.

Presently NaMo Bharat train is operating at 11 stations in the 55 km section from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South in Delhi. At the same time, trial runs of Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro are going on from Meerut South to Modipuram. The underground section of Namo Bharat starts after Brahmapuri station.
Brahmapuri metro station has 4 tracks and 2 platforms (2 tracks Namo Bharat, 2 tracks Meerut Metro). Security room and station control room (SCR) have been built at the station. Technical rooms are also ready. Apart from this, Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) has been installed. The power supply in the station is running smoothly.
Along with this, direction indicators have been installed and platform screen doors (PSD) have also been installed. So that the passengers do not face any problem in understanding. Not only this… along with lifts, escalators and main entry-exit gates, service lanes have also been made for hassle-free entry and exit.
Vehicles coming and going towards the station can come on this service lane. Vehicles will not be stopped on the main road to pick up or drop passengers. NCRTC makes these lanes at each of its stations.

Metro will run at 13 stations in the 23 km section from Meerut South to Modipuram depot. Namo Bharat will run at a speed of 160 km/hr and Meerut Metro will run at a speed of 120 km/hr. These include Meerut South to Partapur, Rithani, Shatabdi Nagar, Brahmpuri, Meerut Central, Bhainsali, Begumpul, MES Colony, Daurali, Meerut North, Modipuram and Modipuram Depot.
