Muzaffarnagar: A video of the muezzin (one who offers namaz) of a mosque in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh is going viral on social media, in which he is threatening to cut the neck of a sub-inspector. There was a strike in the police department after this video went viral, after which the police immediately registered a case against the accused Muezzin under serious sections and arrested him on Friday and sent him to jail.
Inspector accused of misbehavior
In fact, 2 days ago, Muezzin Mohammad Irfan of Madina Masjid located at Madina Chowk in Civil Line police station area had accused Kachcha Road Outpost Incharge Vinod Chaudhary of misbehavior and assault by talking about loud noise during Azaan. During this time, a video was also made viral on social media, in which it was claimed that the inspector was dragging the Muezzin of the mosque, Mohammad Irfan, from the mosque, pushing and beating him. After this incident, on Thursday, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind workers also submitted a memorandum to SSP Muzaffarnagar demanding action in this matter.
Threatened to cut inspector’s neck in video
While the police was investigating, a video of the mosque’s Muezzin Mohammad Irfan also went viral on social media, in which Mohammad Irfan is narrating his past while talking to the workers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind. But during this time the gentleman lost his temper and even threatened to behead the inspector. What happened next was that after this video went viral, there was a stir in the police department.
What did CO City say on the matter?
Giving information, CO City Siddharth K Mishra said that yesterday on 11th December, a video came to the notice of Muzaffarnagar Police. Through social media, a person is expressing his anger against the removal of the loudspeaker of Muzaffarnagar Police and is threatening to kill a policeman. In that regard, a case was registered under relevant sections by the Civil Lines police station and today the person concerned has been arrested. Advance legal action will be implemented.
