Now, treatment will be provided to the malnourished children here by giving them a home like environment so that they can feel mentally healthy as well.
Special care has been taken for the entertainment and comfort of children in the centre. Separate arrangements for TV, swing, toys and children’s play area have been made, so that they can get better treatment along with sports. Along with this, this center equipped with hi-tech beds and necessary medical facilities will focus on complete care of children. Here an experienced team of 15 trained nurses and doctors will be present round the clock, who will monitor every child.
Orthopedic room becomes malnutrition treatment center
The main objective of this treatment center is to cure those children whose weight and height are less for their age, who are not able to take enough food or fall ill again and again. Here, special diet will be provided to improve the eating habits of children and overcome nutritional deficiency. Facility of modular kitchen is also available in the centre, where nutritious food will be prepared with hygiene. Health expert Maqsood said that the first and most important way to prevent malnutrition is a balanced and nutritious diet. Fruits, vegetables, pulses, milk, curd, meat, fish, eggs and dry fruits must be included in the diet. Along with this, avoid processed food and excessively sweet foods, emphasis should also be given on regular exercise and cleanliness. In cases of severe malnutrition, doctors will meet the nutritional needs of children through special diets or tube feeding.
Children will develop mentally
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan said that this model of Dhanbad Sadar Hospital will become an example for the entire Jharkhand. Here, attention will be given not only to treatment but also to the mental development of children, nutritional security and their social rehabilitation. He instructed the officers. The center should be made fully operational on time and any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. With this initiative to fight malnutrition, it is expected that the children of the district will move towards a stronger and healthier future.
