If you want to keep the plants in your house green and healthy, then there is no better option than organic fertilizer. You can easily prepare nutritious fertilizer for plants at home using vegetable and fruit peels, egg shells, buttermilk, jaggery, cow dung manure and used tea leaves from the kitchen. By adopting this, plants grow quickly, the soil becomes fertile and the garden appears laden with flowers.
If you want to make organic fertilizer for plants at home, then kitchen waste compost is a great option. For this, peels of vegetables and fruits, tea leaves, egg shells etc. can be used. To make it, take a bucket, put a layer of dry leaves or soil at the bottom, put a layer of kitchen waste on top of it and keep adding a little soil or manure on each layer. By covering it, natural organic fertilizer will be ready in about 25–30 days.
The waste generated at home can be converted into nutritious fertilizer for plants. For this, use of egg shells is very beneficial. Grind dried egg shells into powder and mix it in the soil. It is rich in calcium, which helps in strengthening the roots and stems of plants.
Nutritious fertilizer for plants can also be made at home from banana peel. For this, take 5–6 banana peels and 1 liter water. Soak the peels in water for 24 hours, then filter it and pour this water into the plants. It supplies a good supply of potassium, which is very beneficial for the health and growth of plants.

Instead of throwing away the used tea leaves after making tea in the kitchen, it can be used as fertilizer for plants. For this, wash the tea leaves, dry them and mix them directly in the soil of the plants. It provides nitrogen to the soil and keeps the plants green and healthy.
To make organic fertilizer from dry leaves, take some dry leaves, grass and some soil. Cut the leaves into small pieces and make a pile and keep sprinkling water every 7 days. In 30–40 days, this mixture will completely decompose and turn into excellent compost rich in nutrients.
Buttermilk and jaggery are very beneficial not only for health but also for plants. To make organic fertilizer, take 2 liters of water, 1 cup buttermilk and 2 spoons of jaggery. Mix all this and keep it covered for 2 days. Pour the prepared solution directly on the plants, it softens the soil and increases the amount of nutrients in it.
