Today we are telling you how to make mustard greens in Mithilanchal i.e. desi style, which is very tasty and is also very easy to make.
This is how it gets ready
Giving information on this, housewife Nidhi Chaudhary says that first of all buy green mustard leaves from the fields or from the market. After this, wash the leaves thoroughly in two waters and clean them, so that there is no dirt left. Then chop the leaves finely. Some people also add spinach and fenugreek to this saag and that is a typical Punjabi taste. You can make mustard greens without it also.
Offer the pan after boiling
To make mustard greens, put the chopped leaves in the cooker and cook for three whistles with a little water, so that the leaves get cooked properly. After this, open the cooker and take out the greens. Now put a pan on the gas stove and add some mustard oil in it. When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, dried chillies and coarsely ground garlic cloves. Add salt as per taste and fry for some time.
After this, add the mustard greens taken out of the cooker to the pan and also add some chopped green chillies. Now keep stirring it well, until the greens are completely mixed with the spices. While stirring, keep breaking the leaves with the help of a spoon, so that the greens get mixed well. When the greens are ready, take them out of the pan and keep them in another vessel and pour a little raw mustard oil on top and mix.
Desi style saag ready
In this way, desi style mustard greens are prepared. This mustard greens is a special dish for the people of Mithila region, which adds a different taste and aroma to their food.
