Method to make Til-Mawa Barfi
1. Roasting sesame seeds:- First of all, roast the sesame seeds on low flame till they become light golden. Roasting sesame seeds increases its taste and aroma. Cool the roasted sesame seeds and grind them finely in a mixer.
2. Preparing Mawa:-Heat ghee in a pan, add mawa into it and fry it on low flame for 3-4 minutes. When the color of mawa starts turning light pink, turn off the gas.
3. Making Sugar Syrup:-Prepare light syrup by adding sugar and 2-3 spoons of water in a separate vessel. It is important for the syrup to be slightly thick so that the barfi can set well.
4. Preparing the Mixture:-Now add roasted mawa, ground sesame seeds and cardamom powder to the prepared syrup. Mix the mixture well. When the mixture starts becoming slightly thick, turn off the gas.
5. Setting Barfi:-Spread the mixture in a greased plate. Add chopped dry fruits on top and press lightly. Let it cool for 1 hour.
