The grand event of three-day youth festival Jhoomar has started in Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh. Where 800 students from 26 colleges under the university have participated. These days the university campus is colored in festive colours. A glimpse of Mini India can be seen here. This cultural festival was started with a grand Sanskrit procession, which attracted the attention of the entire city.
The procession was started from KB Women’s College and Annada College. University Vice Chancellor Professor Chandrabhushan Sharma flagged off the procession. Passing through various routes, the procession reached Vinoba Bhave University campus. Where the Youth Festival was formally inaugurated. The enthusiasm and discipline of the students in the procession was clearly visible.
800 students from 26 colleges participated
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Chandrabhushan Sharma said that the Youth Festival should not be seen separately from studies. There are many students in the university who, along with academic education, are also adept in art, music, dance, literature and other creative disciplines. The event provides a better platform to such students to showcase and enhance their talent. Through Youth Festival students not only showcase their art. Rather, they also meet each other and exchange ideas, which helps in their all-round development. Such events prove to be milestones for the future of the students.
This festival lasts for three days
In this three-day festival, diverse colors of music, dance, literary events, theatre, fine arts and folk culture will be seen. This program will be held in Vinodani Park located on the university campus. During the procession, drug eradication, a burning issue of the present time, was also presented effectively. Through this, the message was given that the person is trapped in the world of drugs. If he wishes, he can come out of this and return to the mainstream of society. Addiction hollows out not only the individual and the family, but the entire society.

During the Sanskrit procession, the university management tried to present the rich civilization and culture of India on one platform. In this, glimpses of thoughts of Lord Birsa Munda, the great festival of folk faith Chhath, Durga Puja, traditional chandelier dance of Jharkhand and women empowerment were seen on the streets. Students say that India has a unique identity in the whole world due to its civilization and culture. Students of various colleges introduced people to Indian culture through their presentations and tried to convey this message. India is very rich and superior culturally.

Youth Festival is a platform where students communicate among themselves and share their ideas. During this time, students will also brainstorm on topics like implementing the new education policy more effectively. Undoubtedly, Youth Festival has a special place in student life, which provides them self-confidence, leadership ability and social understanding. Under the program, competitions will be organized at various places. There will be presentations of songs, music and dance in Swami Vivekananda Auditorium. One act, short drama and pantomime competitions will be organized in the multipurpose examination hall.
