5 people of interstate gang involved in child trafficking have been arrested in Lucknow.
Lucknow News: Lucknow’s ADCP East Qasim Abdi said that since a few days information was being received about minor girls from outside the state doing prostitution in Gomtinagar area.
Lucknow. The Gomtinagar Police of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, has unearthed an Interstate Child Trafficking Gang of Jismphoshi. The police have arrested five, including the husband and wife, hailing from Assam. Two minor girls living in Assam have been freed from the possession of this gang.
ADCP East Qasim Abdi said that for the past few days, information was being received about minor girls from outside the state doing prostitution in Gomtinagar area. On this information, on Thursday, some people were taken into custody from under the Sahara Bridge of Vipulkhand after seeing suspicious. After rigorous interrogation, it was found that among the suspects are Faizuddin of Assam and his wife, who had brought two minor girls from there. They were to be given to Kanchan Aunty living in Ghazipur, Lucknow, but before delivery, the police also nabbed Kanchan and her partner Sunny Gupta, Rahul Gautam.
During interrogation, it was found that both the minor girls rescued from the possession of the accused are residents of Kamrup district of Assam. Faizuddin and his wife used to bring these girls to cities like New Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow on the pretext of getting jobs and sold them to different gangs. These gangs used to make these girls sex-free. This gang used to bring poor minor girls from Kamrup and some backward districts of Assam and used to push them into the swamp of sexism. During interrogation of the accused, it became clear that many gangs demand minor girls for sexual intercourse.
