Ramgarh Police has arrested an inter-state gang of 5 vicious thieves. More than 50 cases are registered against gang leader Harira alias Arman. He used to steal to fulfill his girlfriend’s hobbies and acquired property worth more than Rs 4 crore. Police have seized jewelery worth lakhs, a Swift car and other items from the gang.
Javed Khan/Ramgarh: The police of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand have got a major success, where they have arrested five vicious members of an inter-state theft gang. Police have recovered stolen jewelery and valuables worth lakhs of rupees from them.
The leader of the arrested gang, Harira alias Arman alias Danish alias Raju, is a resident of Ranchi, who is a notorious criminal and has more than 50 theft cases registered against him in various police stations. Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar said that the other arrested members include Mo Sahil of Ramgarh, Deepak Kumar Swarnkar of Hazaribagh, Arun Kumar Verma and Brij Kishore Verma.

This gang used a special method to carry out theft incidents. The gang members used luxury cars to first do recce of locked houses and then plan and carry out thefts. This gang had targeted many houses in Ramgarh police station, West Bokaro, Kuju and Mandu police station areas of Ramgarh district.
A thief became a lover in love with his girlfriend
SP told that the leader of the thief gang, Harira alias Arman, used to form this criminal gang and carry out theft incidents to fulfill the expensive hobbies of his girlfriend. Harira had till now acquired property worth more than Rs 4 crore through thefts, which he spent on his girlfriend. Harira has also carried out many incidents of theft in Bihar.

Police recovered a Swift car, a Bullet motorcycle, mobile phone, 600 grams of silver biscuits, 14 pieces of gold bracelets, three laptops, L.E.D. from the gang. TV and many other items worth lakhs of rupees have been seized. After the arrest of this inter-state thief gang, Ramgarh Police has heaved a sigh of relief and the incidents of theft in the district are expected to be curbed.
