Congress MP Manish Tewari opposed the ‘SHANTI’ bill related to nuclear power in the Lok Sabha. He said that this has been brought in place of two existing laws. He said that when the UPA government was trying to end nuclear apartheid, members of the ruling party had brought the no-confidence motion. He alleged, you tried to derail India’s nuclear program for political reasons, on which there was an uproar from the ruling party.
